Get your donors in the door, sort of
Have you given money to someone you didn't know? Have you ever given a gift to an organization you weren't familiar with?
I have. Most of the time, I (and you too I bet) give to organizations that the only thing I'm familiar with is their logo, their website, and maybe their mail. Ouch. If I'm lucky, they have a social media presence and I get to see tweets or -- if I'm really likely -- pictures and videos. P&V's are the window to the organization's soul. Mostly, I believe, it's because an organization is only about the people it serves (or cute little creatures for some). Case in point: take a look at the photo below and tell me you don't get a better glimpse at life on the streets?

More than just pictures and videos
However, more than showing evocative images, or inspiring videos, I believe touring donors through its operations is one of the single most important activities for a cause-driven organization. And, the internet is primed to help out. Another case in point: a recent video created for Our Place Society by Christopher Ruffell of Aclara Promotions.
Donors will double their giving to support causes that can capture emotion through photography and video. But, donors will understand what they are giving to, feel a part of it, and potentially give large principle gifts with the aid of tours, even 'virtual' ones.
